Spring in the Desert, Part 5

A personal note: Yesterday was my dad's birthday. He turned a very robust 95. Congrats to him — hope I inherited those longevity genes.

These are the same varieties that I shared last week albeit different individuals and poses — so I will just provide the common name. Check last week's issue if you want more details by clicking here.

White Peacock

Buckeye

Painted Lady

White Sulphur

Zebra Longwing

Pipevine Swallowtail

Giant Swallowtail

The lifespan of the adult butterflies is shorter than the duration of the butterfly exhibit. Toward the end of their lives, they begin to look a bit shabby — just like humans.

To be continued...

Life is good.

Aloha,
B. David
